After a rough time getting started due to the WGA strike and Scheduling problems The Hub Productions presents Nathan Fillion, Ron Glass and artist Jason Palmer convention held 10 & 11th May 08 turned out to be a great success.

Held first in Sydney the Hub event started with a Cocktail party where VIP ticket holders had a chance to mingle with the celebrities and other convention attendees.

The following morning the convention kicked off early with a special breakfast with celebrity guests for those who’d handed over enough cashy money to get themselves a platinum ticket.

At the main event people had the opportunity to purchase from the multiple vendors offering all things Firefly and Sci-Fi and the wonderful artwork of guest Jason Palmer. There were photo sessions and then the Q&As with each of the guests.

There was also an auction to raise money for the Hemophilia Association including Nathan Fillion auctioning “the shirt of his back”. Nathan revealed his artistic talent by drawing on while the bidding went crazy. An autograph session wound things up, attendees enjoyed the opportunity to get up close and personal and have a chat with the guests.

The following day kicked off in Melbourne with the Platinum breakfast at which Ron was encouraged to try vegemite (and didn’t mind it!) and everyone had the opportunity to enjoy a good laugh at the telling of stories between Ron and Nathan.

Events continued on as in Sydney and wrapped up in the evening with a cocktail party. The air conditioning in the room broke which made for an uncomfortable environment but the guests were very warm and everyone enjoyed their company.
