Hels and KAZ here reporting back from Collectormania 14! We had an awesome day promoting the charity Kids Need To Read .
We spent most of our time handing out postcards and badges for the charity and meeting many friendly con-goers. We were based at SFX magazine’s stall and were therefore lucky(?!!) enough to witness their Truffle Shuffle competition on Saturday, judged by Chunk himself Jeff Cohen. Lots of people wobbled their tummies in order to try and win The Goonies on Blue-ray, it was a sight to see!

We didn’t get a chance to meet many guests but Morena Baccarin was kind enough to sign a Serenity Bill for us to auction, as was the wonderful Mark Sheppard, who basically ate us alive! He is a very funny guy who teased us mercilessly. It took us a while to realise he was joking around with us!

The Con itself was very well attended but not as busy as some years in our experience. It’s the last time it’s going to be held in the MK Centre because of building work and will be held, I believe, at the MK Dons Stadium from now on. I’m told that entrance to the Con will continue to be free which is utterly awesome! How many con’s can you walk in and browse around and, if you’re that way inclined, spend nothing!
