Charity Information
People in the Sci-Fi world are a generous bunch. One of the best known charity fundraising campaigns is “Can’t Stop the Serenity” where fans of Firefly have raised over $250,000 for Equality Now by screening the film Serenity in venues in many countries around the world.
Many Firefly and Stargate actors are known for supporting charities such as Equality Now, Waterkeeper Alliance, Doctors Without Boarders, Multiple Sclerosis, Sea Shepherd and many more.
The intent of this page is to list charities known to be supported within the Firefly and Stargate circles and to occasionally highlight one off cases that are in some way related to the fandom.
