Sanctuary & Richard Dean Anderson Cons

GABIT Events have been running conventions with Stargate’s Amanda Tapping for a number of years, their latest Amanda Tapping event AT4 which will take place in November sold out within a matter of minutes.  GABIT work closely with Amanda Tapping and proceeds of their events support charities.

GABIT have just released some super exciting news on two fronts.  They have teamed up with LEGENDS Memorabilia for the first Sanctuary event “The Sanctuary Experience” to be held in Vancouver from the 30th of July to the 1st of August next year.  The event will include appearances by the cast and crew of Sanctuary and will beneft Amanda Tapping’s newly formed charity “Sanctuary for Kids” which raises funds for other charity organisations that often get overlooked.

Even more exciting is the news that they will hold the first ever Richard Dean Anderson event. “Meet the Man (MTM)” will run along the lines of their AT events in the UK and will be held on the 5th of August.  Tickets will be limited to around 350 including 80 “Charmed” passes that will include extras like entry to the cocktail party.

What’s Coming Up #4

In this month’s show we talk about the events coming up over the next couple of months.  I also chat with Stargate Location Manager Lynn Smith who worked on seasons 2 to 7 of SG1 and was our tour guide on the official Stargate Location Bus Tour held as part of the Stargate convention in Vancouver last month.  Andy from prop replica company Quantum Mechanix chats about their new Stargate and Serenity products and we find about about the Best of Both Worlds Stargate convention in Australia. Official Stargate Vancouver Convention Report & F-302 Giveaway!

The official Stargate convention was held by Creation Entertainment in Vancouver from the 2nd to the 5th of April The guest list this year included Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Paul McGillion, Joe Flanigan, Teryl Rothery, Andee Frizzell, Connor Trinneer, Robert Picardo, Dan Shea, Gary Jones, David Nykl and producers Mr N John Smith, Brad Wright and Robert Cooper there were also other guests panelists and lots of opportunities for fans to get autographs and professional photos with the guests. What’s Coming Up #2 – Mar 09

We apologise for this edition of What’s Coming Up being significantly delayed but it was due to circumstances beyond our control.  We plan to keep on track with our next podcast which will be published around the 31-2 April.
