David Hewlett’s film “A Dog’s Breakfast
David Hewlett stars in “A Dog’s Breakfast” alongside his sister Kate Hewlett and Stargate actors Paul McGillion, Christopher Judge and Rachel Luttrell however some may argue that the real star of the film is Mars the dog.
“A Dog’s Breakfast” is about a slightly odd man with obsessive compulsive tenancies. Patrick doesn’t react well when his little sister Marilyn [Kate Hewlett] brings her fiancé Ryan [Paul McGillion] to visit. Patrick begins a murderous plot to prevent the couple from getting married only to discover he’s about as good at murder as he is at everything else. “A Dog’s Breakfast” is a delightfully hilarious film that will have you in fits of laughter throughout.
The DVD includes a commentary track with Hewlett, Loughman, producer John Lenic, Mars the dog, and Hewlett’s mom. Also included on the disc are four detailed behind the scenes features and deleted scenes that make purchasing the DVD worth purchasing.
Highly recommended, especially for fans of Stargate Atlantis.
